The capacity of Ethylene cylinder are available of 5 Ltrs (1 Kg of Gas), 10 Ltrs (3 Kg of Gas) & 47 Ltrs (17 Kg of Gas) and also available in spray cans. The purity of Ethylene is 99.97%. The filled quantity of gas will be vary depends upon the capacity of cylinder which will be invoiced as per the quantity filled. Based on the requirement by customer we can provide ethylene mixture also.(i.e ethylene 5% or 10% balance Nitrogen).

In India, local people have been used Acetylene or calcium carbide to ripen Banana, Mango fruit which banned by Government. We strongly discourage these methods as this process is very harmful to mankind. Ethylene shortens the shelf life of many fruits by hastening fruit ripening and floral senescence. Tomatoes, bananas and apples will ripen faster in the presence of ethylene. Commercial growers of bromeliads, including pineapple plants, use ethylene to induce flowering. Plants can be induced to flower either by treatment with the gas in a chamber, or by placing a banana peel next to the plant in an enclosed area. Bananas placed next to other fruits will produce enough ethylene to cause accelerated fruit ripening. In here the externally applied ethylene by using a can sprayer or by a Ethylene Cylinder connected in Chamber control unit placed in Cold rooms.

Uses

• Ethylene shortens the shelf life of many fruits by hastening fruit ripening and floral senescence . Tomatoes , bananas and apples will ripen faster in the presence of ethylene. Bananas placed next to other fruits will produce enough ethylene to cause accelerated fruit ripening.
